Feeling Blue

4:25:00 PM

Hi everyone!

I love following trends and seeing what's hot and what's not for the upcoming season. One of the trends that has really caught my eye (no pun intended) is the blue eyeshadow look. Blue lids have been a big no-go for as long I can remember, and the last time someone wore all blue shadow (and gotten away with it) must have been early 2000's. Remember the 00's? When Paris was the famous one and Kim was her PA. Ah, simpler times.

In the 90's X-tina used to rock frosted blue eyes, red glossy lips, a big stud in her nose and multi coloured cornrows. Sometimes I still don't understand what went wrong in that era.

Today, however, blue is the new black, and although the trend started off mainly on the runway, blue eyeshadow is quickly becoming this summer's makeup bag essential.

Though blue shades especially suit dark eyes, the colour can really be worn by anyone, making it a perfectly wearable trend! As I mentioned in my previous post, I recently bought MAC's tilt, which is a beautiful frosted blue. I combined it with the shade Deep Truth (also by MAC) and created the following look!
