Twelve Days of Christmas Favorites Day One
7:20:00 AMHello Everyone!
Ever since I was a little girl, Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. In fact, I even preferred the winter holidays over my own birthday (which is in the summer), because the only thing I love more than receiving gifts, is giving them- how cliché that might sound. I really do wish I could send every single one of you a special Christmas present, but sadly I am a poor college student who has been living off' microwavable burrito's and student loans for the past few months -donations are always very welcome, by the way. That being said, I don't want you to think I don't appreciate my dear readers, so I'm going to treat you to a special 'Twelve Days of Christmas Favorites', in which I will -as the name would suggest- write about a specific favorite thing that I love about Christmas for twelve days straight, as a count down until the most exciting day of the year!
Day One: Favorite Christmas Song
When it comes to Christmas songs, there are a few types of people you can be. You're either the person who absolutely hates Christmas songs and will flee from the store before Mariah Carey can even finish telling you what it is she wants for Christmas (hint: it's you), you can be the person who appreciates Christmas songs during the holiday season, to hum along to while decorating the tree or while drinking hot chocolate, but who safely puts all the albums whose cover photos include any type of frolicking in the snow back in the attic after December 25th, or you can be the type of person who wishes Christmas was an all year round event and enjoys listening to Wham! in January to prepare for the next holiday season. I am ashamed to admit that I have found myself listening to Bianca Ryan in the summer and have had All I Want For Christmas stuck in my head for months after the holiday season ended, but I just really, really, really like Christmas music. It's so cheerful and happy and makes me want to go out and play in the snow or kiss a stranger (dressed as Santa?) under the mistletoe.Though I do love the overplayed pop Christmas songs, recently I have become kind of obsessed with some older classics. I think this year my favorite Christmas Song is a tie between 'Baby, It's Cold Outside'
