Leonardo Loving

Hello Everybody!

Most people that know me know that I have quite the obsession with boys who don't even know I exist. Maybe I choose to love famous people over people in real life because they don't actually know me and therefore they can't break my heart, but whatever the reason, I'm a sucker for the celebs. From singers to actors, from worldfamous to 'underground', give me a cute guy with a talent and I will undeniably fall for him. I've noticed quite the pattern that must have started with my first real celebrity obsession at the age of 13: Justin Bieber. At first I see said boy online and think 'wow, he's cute'. I decide to do a little investigating and find out who he is and what he does. The more I find out about him, the more I start to like him. If he's a singer, I'll listen to all his songs and look up his live performances, if he's an actor, I'll be sure to watch all his movies -no matter how boring, violent or just cringe worthy bad- and if he's both, I'm in heaven. After this, I'll continue to stalk him on all available social media networks and watch every Youtube video of him (repeatedly) before I go to bed. For a while, I dream, speak, breathe this beautiful love of mine, but once the material runs out or I discover a new crush, my infatuation will slowly fade away, and the ritual will start all over again- only with a different boy this time.

Seeing as I don't know a lot of 'crush-worthy' boys in real life, I have had ongoing celebrity crushes for about 5 years. Some of these crushes lasted longer than a year in itself (Justin Bieber, One Direction) but faded away when the artist got too famous, and some lasted less than a month, simply because the artist was fairly new to the business and I didn't have much to go on. I will always have a soft spot for all of my 'ex-crushes', but they are not likely to return to full blown obsessions after I moved away from them. That is, all except for one. Who is this magical man, who is so heart-wrenchingly gorgeous, remarkably talented and has such a marvelous personality, you may ask?
That, my dear blogger friends, is non other than the man who makes every girl and woman's heart in every country skip a beat: Leonardo DiCaprio -Collective sigh-.

Now I know that being in love with Leonardo is kind off a cliché, but honestly, can you blame me? I'll tell you how it all started. About a year ago I wasn't sure whether I'd genuinely never seen 'Titanic' or if it'd just been to long ago for me to remember, so my friend Emma decided it was time for me to watch it (again?) with her, seeing as she had it on DVD. The minute Leonardo came on screen with his sparkling blue eyes and his mischievous smirk I fell hard. Very hard. After this I watched a lot of his other movies and after a while I came across a movie called 'The Basketball Diaries'. It didn't look super appealing to me seeing as I am more a comedy kind of gall but since (Young) Leo played the leading role I decided to give it a shot. After watching the movie I turned it off, sat in complete silence for a few minutes, re-winded, and watched it again. I watched it eight times that week. I was completely mesmerized by the story, the character and the amazing talent of everyone involved in the film. Needless to say after this I not only had the biggest crush ever on Leo, I also realized what an undeniably amazing actor he actually is, and I gained a lot of respect for him.

Having seen all his movies except for four, I am not only in love with Leo as a -very handsome- person, but also as an actor. He plays every character so well that no matter how bad the movie actually is, I still don't mind watching it over and over. In fact, every once in a while when I feel bad or when I think I deserve a reward, I have a 'Leo' marathon and re-watch nearly all of his movies: after my exams I watched twelve of his movies in just one week. Well, it's not like I have a lot of action going on in real life anyway.

I'll leave you with a few of my favorite pictures of Leo to brighten up your day. Enjoy!

Hugs and Kisses!

P.S. I seriously recommend you to go watch The Basketball Diaries. Seriously. It's amazing.
